Just sharing a story which might make you smile.
When I was in my twenties,
I went abroad with some friends.
One of them was flying for the first time,
and he was naturally very excited.
He and his brother were put sitting together.
His brother was a seasoned traveller.
Airplanes no longer impressed him.
He did not share any of the excitement,
coming his way from the seat beside him.
Eventually the time came for dinner.
Now all you who have flown will know,
there is nothing remotely exciting,
about food served on a plane.
The experienced older brother,
ate his dinner and promptly fell asleep.
The excited first time passenger,
proceeded onto his final course,
A cup of tea with a cheese and cracker.
The tea was poured but no sign of any milk.
“Do they not give you milk on a plane?”,
he asked his sleeping brother.
“Its in a packet”, the sleeping brother replied.
“What, in this packet?”, asked virgin flyer,
holding up the packaged, scented, wet hand towel.
“Mmmm ye” said the sleeper, not even looking.
First Timer opened the hand towel and looked at it perplexed.
“What do I do with it?” he said nudging sleeper.
“Just put it in your tea and stir it around”, said sleepy, sleepily.
Poor First Timer picked up the wet, lemon scented hand towel.
Holding it at one end,
he put it into his tea and began to move it around.
At this point Mr Experienced opened his eyes.
“What are you doing?”, he asked.
“Putting milk in my tea, like you told me”.
Mr Now Wide Awake, said “this is the milk”,
handing him the missing milk!
Of course if he reads this,
it will be strenuously denied.
But I remember.

Hahahahahaha!!!!! Honest mistakes do happen. I remember an incident in a restaurant (not on a plane) where my friend drank a bowl of tea meant for washing his hands! You see, in Chinese restaurants, when they serve steamed prawns in their shells, they also put out a bowl of tea with a slice of lemon meant for washing your hands after peeling the prawns. My poor friend drank it and even commented that it was strange to serve lemon tea in a bowl. The look on the waitress’ face was priceless!
Lol. My friend will not be impressed if he reads my post even after all these years. Still these incidents are funny.
This is the stuff that good posts are made of 😉
You sure the ‘sleeping brother’ was really asleep and not playing a prank ? 😆
Lol. If it was me, maybe, but he’s a nice guy!
Thanks. It really did happen, but I will not say to whom!
