don’t know if this is the right email, to address this to. But my husband has been fighting two types of cancer for almost 9 years this July. He has had 7 surgeries and two months ago, his oncologist sent him home with morphine and methadone. The Doctor said, that he is not eligible for any more surgeries. He is 58 years old, has worked since he was 12 years old and has been a police officer for 38 years. He was just forced into early retirement, because of his illness, because it hurts to much to West his gun belt anymore. He just made the front page, of the memorial paper. He is a man, that has always lived his life with the Moto of “you just do the right thing, because it’s the right thing to do”. Never do anything expecting anything in return, or your doing it for the wrong reasons. He is the most wonderful man, that I have ever known. We are not sure how much longer, he will be with us, do I am throwing a retirement, slash memory party on June 11th. I am trying to make it as memorable as I can. He has always been a huge fan of Garth and even got down on one knee with a rose and sang Shameless to me, 27 heard ago. Our son even broke his guitar when he was younger, just to be like Garth. Everytime be hears a Garth song, he smiles and loves to sing along with it. I paid for his birthday years ago, for us to go to Vegas and see him. It was amazing. If there is anything you can do, to get this message to Garth on my husbands honor, would be greatly appreciated. Please let him know, that if it wasn’t for him, I would not have had 27 years with an amazing man and that without his songs, I may not get to hear him sing or see him smile as much. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to have these memories. God Bless.
