Yes there are days and moments where everyone smiles, but there are no days when anyone forgets.
Today is Daniels fifteenth birthday. I thought it only right to remember him here today, as many of you shared his brave fight to live. Happy Birthday Danny where ever you are.
and happy birthday from someone who cares about you far away and across the sea. .it is clear that you touched many lives during your shot time here, daniel. that is your gift that you left behind for others on your birthday.
Thank you Beth for your lovely words. I hope he and that little someone you held dear have found each other and are celebrating together and possibly causing mayhem.
yes, exactly as i was thinking –
Happy Birthday Daniel. Every where you are.
Lovely Colleen. Thank you
Happy birthday, Daniel! I’ve come to know you through this blog. Your life touched so many people and your legacy will live on through people whom you never met, but whose lives you have blessed. Hugs and kisses on your special day from a friend across the pond!
Thanks for the Birthday wishes Deb. His life continues to touch so many. Yesterday his friends handed over €5000 that they helped raise by doing the Christmas day swim. A credit to them, and to young Daniel that he continues to inspire them.
It’s important to remember and note anniversaries as memorials. The experience changes as years pass but it is always good for the heart to think of those we have loved in this life.
Thanks Joanne. Yes the years do change the experience. Daniels family are still sorely missing him, and I think will continue to do so for many years to come. Even without him he was greatly celebrated.
Love the idea of young Daniel making mayhem on the other side. Happy Daniel’s birthday to all those who loved him. I am thinking of his parents today; I’m sure that he is happy, but my heart goes out to them.
Thank you. If it is at all possible Daniel would be having fun and causing mayhem where ever he is. It was a day, in fact a whole weekend, when he was missed, but celebrated.
Hope the day went as well as can be, tric, for all his folks and friends. All these firsts are tough.
It was a difficult week really if truth be told, but this family are beyond strong. Daniel was well remembered. Then on Sunday his friends presented the home care cancer nurses with a cheque for €5000 which was made at the Christmas day swim. Thankfully we are beginning a new week.
