My first of two letters to be posted today is by the writer of the blog Eurolanguages.
Dear inner child,
Don’t worry so much about offending others when you have to stand up for your rights; just tell them how you feel, no need for plights! Whatever happened to you in your early years that filled you with all these fears? It’s about time you let go of the put-downs you constantly heard; they’ll only make you a nerd!
I know you’re not blaming anyone, for they who raised you did their best, just as you did with the children from your own nest!
So, be good to yourself, pretend you’re the best! You’ve seen how it’s done, just act like you’re number one!
Ok, it’s not as easy as it seems, but you must do it in order to fulfill your dreams. Be good to yourself!
*** Have you a letter to someone you would love to write? A first love? A letter to a younger you? Someone you wish to thank? Maybe a confession? Or a letter to someone who has made your life difficult?
I am still taking contributions to this series of letters. Check out the guidelines for submission or just contact me with any queries. You can read previous contributions using the “series of letters” link.

Thanks! I often need to coax myself with some of these words; those darned learned behaviors!
