Look out Spain, here we come!

Can you hear it?
The noise of my eleven year old,
as she squeals with excitement.
“One more day!”.

Tomorrow we are off.
Usually I have no problem,photo credit: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sydneytreasuresphotography/8642370766/">Sydney Treasures Photography</a> via <a href="http://photopin.com">photopin</a> <a href="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/">cc</a>
finding the words to describe a situation,
but this is beyond my capabilities.

Our youngest, aged eleven, cannot be contained.
The airport, the airplane and the idea of being abroad,
are filling her with an excitement,
which reminds me of Christmas eve as a child.

Getting ready for holidays though,
is such hard work.
In the end you are ready for another holiday!
In our house,
I book the tickets, and car,
check in online,
wash and iron the clothes,
do the packing,
and get all the extras together.

I must admit it that at times,
I do get a bit tetchy!
Then when I am just about ready to explode,
my husband says,
“Relax, you are a bit cranky”.

Now before you agree with him,photo credit: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/cseeman/8521385359/">cseeman</a> via <a href="http://photopin.com">photopin</a> <a href="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/">cc</a>
this is a man who still has not packed.
It is nearly 9pm and we leave at 7am tomorrow.
The reason I know he has not packed yet,
is that he has no suitcase,
as it is in my friends house waiting for him to collect it!
I am waiting for him to realize this.

In truth the work is done now,
all except my dearly beloved are packed,
and the feeling in the house is one of holiday.

So to each of you who have read this,
and to those who read regularly,
I will say a final goodbye for now.
See you in ten days.

So just in case you do in fact miss me,
let me recommend a couple of my early posts.
I will go back to a time when most of you didn’t know I existed.
So why not check out,

I confess and I’m still not sorry.
A mothers intuition

Bye for now.

xx
