I was pretty sure my husband loved our daughter,
when I saw his face the first time he saw her.
When he “showed her off” to friends and family.
When he watched her take her first steps.
When he hugged her tight.
I could see he loved her,
as he took her on her maiden journey to school.
When he admired her homework,
and took great interest in her writing and drawing.
However I knew beyond all doubt, he loved her unconditionally when
at the age of five,
she picked up a stone,
and when we were not looking,
etched “I Love U” all over his car!!!

LOL Bless her. I could see myself doing that at 5.
Shes at college now! Probably still doing all sorts when we’re not looking!
Haha… The ultimate test of love. Kid vs car
ye. Even funnier seeing some mens reaction when they saw it or heard the story. Think she was lucky with my choice of dad!
Lol! I would have loved to see his first reaction caught on camera! I’m sure that will generate a lot of comments.
A part of me says that I will not get upset if my child did that, but a part of me also prays my child just draws on the walls instead etching my car. Please let him or her draw on the walls!!!!!
Its not right for me but I still giggle over this. I do feel for him as he had to drive around for a few more years with the car but it was funny, The pain of being a parent, not what he ever expected. It’s coming your way. Samantha will be wondering your pre occupation with stones!
