So you think you’re a grown up!

My youngest is still at that beautiful age where no matter where she goes, if she interacts with another child, she will come home and say

“I made a friend today”.

This could mean that at a party or in the playground she will talk with or play with another child for the short period that she is there. Never again will she spend time with her/him. Nor does she  expect to.However she considers that child to have been her friend.

As we get older we join facebook.

We make contact with relative strangers who ask can they be our friends? We accept them and rate our popularity on the number of friends we have!

Have we really grown up?
