Friendship improves happiness and abates misery,
by the doubling of our joy,
and the dividing of our grief.
(Marcus Tullius Cicero)
Our friends come in all shapes and sizes. Some fill our lives daily, others we see less regularly but know they are only a call away and a small number date back to our younger years and despite time and distance hold a part of our hearts forever.
Today I’d like to take the time to say “Thank You,” to one of my friends…to she who brought brownies and cake to my house today…for no reason. I wasn’t upset, tired, going through a bad time. She did it because that is exactly the person she is.
And I am so lucky to have her as my friend.
I completely agree with your sentiments on friendship, Tric! I always say that my friends are my most precious asset…
Today one of my friends came over and brought a delicious almond cake, because she thought I might appreciate it… it’s exactly the kind of person she is!
We are so lucky Sue. People speak of winning the lotto, but I can honestly say I am rich… in the friends I have.
Me too!
I need to find friends who can bake , instead of being a baker 🙂
Well I’m not the best myself so perhaps they are a sympathy gift for my children and me!
or so you say 😉
Friends are more precious than gold, Tric. ❤

Yes they are indeed priceless. The extra they bring to life is wonderful.
There’s a richness in that Tric, that you can’t find or buy. It is, or it isn’t. What a blessing.
oh, i so love the ‘just because’ reason. the best of all.
Everyone needs a friend like that.
