Blog theme change. What do you think?

I have been blogging almost one year, and have had the same theme for all that time.
It has suited me well.
But as we begin a fresh New Year I’d love a change.photo credit: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/worldskills/9214771847/">WorldSkills</a> via <a href="http://photopin.com">photopin</a> <a href="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/">cc</a>

So tonight I’m asking you all what do you think of this theme?

I think it’s a little bit too “pink” but I like the way it shows the previous posts.

This is certainly not a done deal and I may very well go back to my old theme, but I really would like to know what you think.
I don’t want you all agreeing it’s lovely etc (unless you really love it!), I’d love real feedback.

I’m gone goggly eyed going through the free themes available (note the “free”) and may test out another in a day or so.

So, what do you think?

    1. I wish I could but it’s one of those where you can’t change the colour. Maybe I’ll look again tomorrow now that I’ve an idea what I like but I’m looking forward to any more comments. You are so right I’m not a “pink”lady. Even my kids just kept saying “Pink!”

  1. I like this theme and it’s not too ‘pink’ at all. The only thing in the world for sure is change. Change is good. Just don’t ever switch to a black screen…. I have issues with black being difficult to read. 😀

  2. For what it is worth, I like it. Blog themes are kinda like rearranging the furniture for me. Change it up and it feels clean and new. And you can always change it back if you want! 🙂

  3. i like the look of it, and i liked your old one as well, but. i think it’s good to change things up a bit from time to time, to keep them fresh, and to reflect our own change and growth. i’m all for it, if you are happy with it too. )

    1. Thanks Beth I’m gunning for a change but it is very girly. I’m just not sure. Maybe I’ll go back to the start and now I know what I like I’ll see if there’s anything less pink

  4. I like the elegant cursive writing, very nice. Bit too pink for me but I’m a guy who will not even wear a pink shirt and secretly laugh at men who do. 😀

  5. I like it, although I too am not a pink person. I have had the same theme too since I started in 2011. I considered changing it once, but I like the colors and the artistic look to my page and decided to keep it. I really like the layout on this one though.

  6. I like it much better over the previous one. I like the layout – much easier to read somehow. The pink doesn’t bother me, but if you don’t like it, that does matter. Can you just change the font color? On mine I could make changes to the colors, size and even title fonts…

    1. OMG I began to really hate that pink and the little hearts but I couldn’t find another I like. It took forever but I like the one I have now even though I did have a little hiccough with a purple sparkly background!

  7. Its very elegant. Not sure about pink or hearts. I think pink can may go against the grain a little. Yours blog deals with serious issues and is so honest. Pink is probably a little frivolous.. sorry.. but I’ll be always be honest when you ask. :o)

    1. Thanks a million. To be honest that pink was not me, or my blog. I couldn’t find a green I liked but I did like this one. Hope you do, but feel free to give me your honest opinion

  8. I like it. But, then again I find there are so many nice blog templates I’d probably like others that you chose. I’m keen to change mine as well but can’t decide what to change to, hence I haven’t changed it. I love your idea of asking your visitors.

    1. It took forever to find a theme I liked. In the end that pink and those hearts really didn’t do it for me. I hope you like what I did decide.
I think it’s important to get reader feedback as we can be a bit blind and they know what they like.

  9. I like the layout of the new theme – but . . .

the pink script I could get used to and not notice in time, however, the little pink heart shapes surrounding the comment total figure at the head of each post ?

this seems at odds with those posts where you cover some serious subjects

    1. Ha ha. Duncan you were spot on, it was so not me or my blog. What do you think of the new one? It’s this or my original as I’m not looking at any more.
