Happy Christmas/Holidays

Just a very quick note to wish you all a very happy Christmas, holiday’s or whatever the next few days mean to you in your world. Here in Ireland we go a little crazy and the Christmas day celebrations extend well into the New Year.

Tonight I can at last relax and enjoy the season. My four children are back under my roof, or at least will be later when they return from meeting friends in the local pubs, the presents are wrapped, ham half cooked, turkey stuffed and wine chilling.

Tomorrow will begin with Santa, because for some reason he has not yet discovered the ages of my children, three of whom are over eighteen! After that we cici at Xmaswill rush off to the nearest beach to gather with a couple of hundred others to remember Daniel and to raise money in his name for the unit and oncology home nurses who cared for him during his year of treatment. In the three years since we lost him we have had to brave frost and floods but nothing has lessened the crowds. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be perfect.

The rest of the day will hopefully be a blur of present exchanging, eating, drinking and playing games we’d never dream of playing any other day of the year, with family and friends.

So to all of you who have stuck by me over the past few years and continue to read, comment and like I’d like to say a massive thank you and to wish you a peaceful Christmas/Holidays and all things wonderful for the new year.

Nollaig Shona Daoibh Go Leir.

xxxx
